In our busy, modern lives, relationships and marriages often face a multitude of pressures and challenges. Stress from work, family responsibilities, and personal ambitions can all take a toll on even the most committed partnerships. Couples therapy or marriage counseling can be a lifeline if you’re struggling to maintain or rebuild your connection. Our counselors provide a structured and supportive space where you can openly discuss your concerns and feelings without fear of judgment.
Personality disorders are complex, and they can show up in any type of relationship, whether romantic, familial, friendship, or professional. Individuals with a personality disorder often find it challenging to manage their emotions, communicate effectively, and build stable relationships. These difficulties can make everyday interactions feel overwhelming and frustrating, both for them and for those around them. Other characteristics of personality disorders may also include intense mood swings, impulsive actions, and heightened mistrust.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), arising from either experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event, is an emotional response to a distressing event that can have a profound effect on mental and physical well-being. It can manifest through a variety of symptoms, including flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, and heightened anxiety. At Alliant Therapy Group, we focus on helping you understand the differences and connections between trauma and PTSD. By learning how trauma impacts the brain and body, you can begin to recognize your symptoms and take active steps toward recovery.
Alliant Therapy Group is dedicated to helping you navigate the challenges associated with ADD and ADHD. Our team of experienced professionals provides comprehensive counseling and support, aiming to enhance your daily life and overall well-being. Grief is a natural response to a significant loss, but it manifests differently for each person. It can encompass a wide range of emotions, including sadness, anger, guilt, and even relief. These feelings can be intense and sometimes conflicting, adding layers of complexity to your experience. The process of grieving often involves a mix of emotional, mental, and physical reactions. You might find yourself struggling with concentration, experiencing vivid memories, or even questioning your beliefs and values.
Self-esteem is the way you perceive your own worth and abilities. It’s about having a balanced view of who you are: appreciating your strengths, and recognizing the areas where you can grow. Self-esteem is influenced by a variety of factors, including personal experiences, societal expectations, and relationships. When self-esteem is low, it can affect every part of your life, from how you interact with others to how you feel about yourself on a daily basis. Healthy self-esteem involves self-compassion and realistic self-assessment.
Anxiety is a natural part of the human experience. It’s our body’s way of responding to stress and potential threats. However, when anxiety becomes overwhelming or chronic, it can escalate into panic and significantly impact daily life. Panic often involves intense physical symptoms such as a racing heart, dizziness, sweating, or a feeling of being out of control. Understanding the difference between normal anxiety and these more severe symptoms is the first step toward managing them effectively.
Depression is a multifaceted mood disorder that manifests uniquely in each person. While some people experience persistent sadness and a sense of hopelessness, others may struggle with low energy levels and changes in sleep and appetite. Depression can also show up as irritability or a loss of interest in activities once enjoyed. It may not always be visibly apparent, as in cases of “high-functioning depression” where you might seem to manage daily responsibilities well but feel disconnected and joyless inside.

Our Flexible Therapy Options

At Alliant Therapy Group, we recognize that each person’s needs and circumstances are unique. That’s why we offer a variety of flexible therapy options designed to fit your lifestyle and preferences.

Our online video (telehealth) services provide a convenient way to access therapy from the comfort of your own home, making it easier to fit sessions into your busy schedule. This option is especially beneficial for individuals with mobility issues, those living in remote areas, or those who prefer the privacy and comfort of their own space.

We offer in-person appointments at our offices in Edmonds and Seattle. These sessions provide the opportunity for direct, personal engagement with your therapist in a safe and welcoming environment. We take great care to ensure that our offices are clean and comfortable, offering a space where you can feel at ease during your sessions.

Additionally, we offer hybrid therapy options that combine both telehealth and in-person meetings. This flexible approach allows you to switch between online and in-person sessions based on your current needs and circumstances. Whether you start with telehealth and transition to in-person meetings, or prefer to alternate between the two, our hybrid options provide the adaptability you need to maintain consistent therapy sessions.
